Schools Out and that means there’s more chance of getting to the Great Outdoors. Don’t forget when you get out and about, take your neckers with you, maybe your on your holidays by the beach or on a sightseeing tour of your favorite city. Put on your necker  and take a photo and post it to one of the Social Media platforms.

Youth Investment Fund round up!

The project is really picking up the pace as we head towards the summer break.

Friday 27th April saw us host our first open event as part of the project at 19th Darlington (Corporation Road) Cubs and Scouts. With 19 new young member turning up on the night, as well as the current members, it was fantastic to see so much Scouting taking place. The next week even more young people turned up; good news certainly travels fast.

Next up we have the following open events:

Wednesday 6th June – Skerne Park Academy 5:30 – 7pm – full new group

Monday 11th June   – 14th Darlington (St Andrews) Cubs – 6:30 – 8pm

If anyone would like to support with these events please do not hesitate to get in touch, the more the merrier.

I have been spending time getting out and about delivering assemblies for all of the District open events as well as for the one open event in Sunderland.  Visiting Polam Hall, Reid Street, Corporation Road and St Johns so far, with Skerne Park, St Bede’s, Red Hall and Springfield coming up after half term.  Raising awareness of Darlington District Scouts and our exciting open events. It’s been exciting seeing the response locally to our updated brand and sharing the fantastic images and videos with potential new Scouts.
